Having Trouble Syncing with Computer

I tried to Sync my Droid X with my computer, and I followed the steps the Droid listed. (I set the USB connection to WIndows Media Sync, I connected the Droid X to the computer with a USB cable, and I opened Windows Media Player). But Windows Media Player (and maybe my computer) doesn't recognize the Droid X as a device.

What do I do?
