Having problems updating radio to 2.x

Got to recovery but can't apply update, don't no if I have update in stalled correctly. Want to install FROYO but have not rooted yet.

There is no update to Froyo on non-rooted phones

I am trying to follow instructions for leaked FROYO on ( xda forum) updating radio to 2.x before rooting and flashing 2.2.

There is instructions for unrooted phone

Well then to update the radio first follow these instructions.

Install lastest OTA with 100% working root 2.0 radio/720p video/hboot .79 - xda-developers

Then move on to the rooting and Froyo.

Also while flashing the radio, DO NOT TOUCH YOUR PHONE. You will end up with a brick if you do. Let it do its thing and wait it out.
