Haven't received Official Gb!

Im not rooted..but I have the leaked gb update .588 will I be getting the Official gb or do I have to go back to froyo?

Nope, you have to go back to stock froyo to get the OTA

Are you familiar with a program called RSD lite?

basically go here:

New Full SBF for Droid X - 2.3.340

and download both RSD lite and the 2.2.1 (2.3.340) sbf file from the links.

****you will need a windows based computer to use this*** and if you are using vista or win 7 you need to allow rsd lite to "run as administrator"

once you have everything downloaded its really simple.

open up RSD lite, put your phone into PC mode, hit the ... button on the RSD lite program and find the download location of the sbf file, double click the sbf file to "open" it (basically it loads it for rsd lite to flash to your phone). You will see the sbf file in the upper right window of RSD lite and you will see your phone listed on line one, if you see both of those things hit start and it will take you back to stock froyo.

boot pc from cd
follow prompts to sbf.
