Hardware issue

Ok so my droid 2 is still under warrenty and there is a problem with the power button. I was going to take it back to a verizon store, but before I do I was going to sbf back to stock and make sure the boot logo and animation were stock; however, should I have to worry about deleting the zip files for roms and my nandroid backups off the sd card. I doubt they would check if I was on stock but just wanted to be sure.

Just call the warranty hotline, the will fedex/overnight a replacement to you. I just got my d2g replaced under warranty today, the replacement arrives with no sdcard so u just swap yours into the replacement then ship back the old one.
