Handcent messaging and super user

Ok guys I got a wired problem. Recently handcent messaging for some reason has been asking for super user permissions when I want to send a multi media message. When it asks wheather I deny or accept permissions the screen goes black and kicks me out of the message. I can go to the stock messaging and it sends just fine (just sometimes to the wrong person lol). I have uninstalled and reinstalled handcent and have fixed permissions and cleared cache. I'm running chevys Rom but just recently in the last week had this problem so I'm not sure if its Rom or program related. Any help would be great I'm pretty familiar with a lot of the Rom and root fixes and steps but still learning a lot with the tbolt.

This sounds like you have a trojan man if I had to assume handcent does not need super user permission under & cicrcumstances I would wipe the phone personally but you can ask the rescue squad if not download a anti virus such as avg or norton from the market & see it to see if it picks up anything

Agreed! Nothing about Handcent should need SuperUser permission at all. Wozzy's recommendations are exactly what I would do.

This thread has been Thunder struck!!

I figured handcent should never ask for Su I downloaded avg but it found nothing so I guess a wipe is about the only option thank you guys ill try wiping in the morn unless someone.else comes up with something different but I can't think of anything
