Handcent duplex notifications

Hi guys. do you know how to stop duplicate notifications when using handcent? When I get a new text I get notifications from both handcent and the phones default system. Thanks...

but when I try to open the default app by clicking on it's icon it opens handcent instead of the default...

You need to turn off the notifications in the native app. Open native app, look for "notifications", and turn them all off (or silent).

go to settings/applications/all applications find handcent and clear the defaults.
