Handcent and the bionic?

I love Handcent. I tried it on my Bionic, tried setting different color LED's and then notifications got weird. I uninstalled and have been using stock. But I miss Handcent's functionality and usability.

Maybe I'll install again and leave the LED settings alone!

Glad I found this thread- been using handcent for couple years now starting on moto droid, now running it on Bionic.

Unfortunately, I have noticed recently (and I don't recall messing with any settings) that when I reply to an incoming message that had multiple recipients, my reply goes to all, even If they are not in my contacts, and I don't know them. This results in a bunch more messages asking "who is this". How do I disable "reply to all"?

I am noticing that when i recieve a message that is around 160 charachters its split the message up 3-4 times and my ring tone keeps going off fo r all of them...

Pretty sure there is a setting to merge the 3 parcels into one mms incoming message.

I am a big fan of the stock messaging that was on my D1 - I used it for a few days on the Bionic and it seemed lack luster, I also tried Handcent for the first time in months and it would give me duplicate messages in and out - think I have finally settled on ChompSMS, now to pay the $6 to get rid of the adds and show my support

Yeah i tried handcent again and it was lagy took for ever yo send and if i locked the screen before it sent it wouldnt send either so im sticking with the stock app and im going to try chompsms see hiw that works.

If this is for real, then "The Handcent SMS application will cause duplicate SMS to be received if sent to the Motorola Bionic via <MDN>@vtext.com." is apparently not something VZW thinks should be fixed.
