GS 3 screen burn-in

Hi all,

The other day I noticed a mark on the screen of my Samsung GS3. (Yeah, I know...) The more I looked, the more it appeared to be the speedometer from the Google Waze application. I looked at the top of the screen and found a corresponding arrow from the direction bar. Has this been a known issue for phones? Is there any way to correct it? Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know if its a known issue but I had screen burn in on my S3. I just got a replacement phone (other issues) and I guess they are out of S3s cause I got an S4 (Verizon). Might be worth looking into with tech support

No, it's not common, but I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often on devices.
