Did a search but didn't find my situation....
Got a Droid X yesterday...enabled GPS under "Location and Security Settings", then went to Maps. It showed my approximate location with the usual large blue-tinted circle, and the satellite icon showed at the top of the screen.
But then, the bars on the 3G icon started dropping, then went to "1X"....then a red circle with a slash through it. I gave it several minutes....no change to the map or anything else.
To get my wireless back, I had to go back to Settings, and uncheck GPS.
Am I missing something?
