Google Voice TXT messages through Handscent or CHOMP?

I like using google voice to send and receive txt messages, but I really do not like the interface. Is there any way to use an app like handscent or chomp to txt though google voice?

Only if you enable SMS forwarding in Google Voice. However, any messages forwarded or replies to those messages count against your package (or you'll pay per message if you don't have a messaging package).
