Google voice on my vzw bill

I have a number of 1 min charges on my VZW bill outgoing to my google voice number. Wtf?

Uhm I started using it say three weeks ago, and it looks like it more or less corresponds to the number of new roms I flashed. Does it have to call my number to set up the Voicemail?

quite probably. but you don't need to call that number everytime you install gv, only the first time

I think I was, even though youmail had overridden it on my phone. So I went to the comp and turned it off. Should be okay now.

Ya, calling your google voice number is the same charge as calling a landline. Unless, there's something u can add to your plan to make it free (or flat rate) to call your gv number. Then youve Gnite options i use like 20 mins per month (on my bill at l least.)
