Google voice bug

I use Google voice for texting but I keep having a 4-8 minute delay. I have refreshed and exited the app but its stilled delayed. When I do get the text it shows that I got it a minute or two from the last text I sent. I have the Motorola Droid and its rooted running BB 0.4.
