google voice app icon changed :(

Hi,
Does anyone know why the google voice app icon changed to the android character. I liked it better with the phone in a talk bubble. Is there a way to change it back. The android character is too common, doesn't really say texting or voice mail. hope they change it back or give an option to have the older one.

Didn't think so but that will cause that issue. I don't know your current set up so it is hard to say what it is. There are a number of options to fix it though. The easiest being the use of a launcher such as Nova or Apex both available on the market. They allow you to change icons


FYI - that android guy is usually the default system icon used for apps when they don't have a icon available.

OK maybe an uninstall and reinstall will fix the icon. Didn't know that was a default icon if one isn't provided by the app.
