google talk doesnt work without 3g connection

Hello,

New to the forums, got the Droid on lauch day. I use google talk quite a bit. I moved from the Storm. I work in a building that gets good 3g service near the windows, but near the center of the building I get no reception. So if I turn on Wifi, and try to log in to google talk, I cannot. I am using the app, not the browser. So I am assuming google talk only uses the 3g, and not the wifi??

Anyone else have this problem?

I thought the same too but after it kicked me off gchat it signed me back in immediately on wifi. Have you tried waiting a minute to sign in?

That is strange because I use Google Talk over Wifi at my office all day.

Your wifi is working for everything else though correct?
