Google Play Music not detecting my mp3 files?

I manually dragged my mp3 files the SD card of my phone, but Google Play Music doesn't detect anything. I can't find a way to play the music, any help?

What folder did you put the music in?

I just put in SD/MUSIC. Didn't really put much thought where to put it, thought it wouldn't matter. Is there a specific folder where I should put it in?

It might not matter, but I had the same problem at one time but I can't remember what I did to fix it. I think it had something to do with the folder. I think it was too far into the file structure. Needs to be closer to the root directory. All my music is on my amazon mp3 folder.

The file is located right after you press "SD CARD". hmm
