OK, I see. I said weather and it gave me the weather....

One more question though. If I look under Widgets I see a google now widget but it won't install on a desktop.

So am I supposed to have a widget on the desktop or just use the search and speak Google ????

First, GoogleNow is not just the revised search feature. It is a whole new feature.
Try long pressing the magnifying glass,.... does this open a white screen with the search box and mic. at the top?
If so, press your menu button and click on "settings".
You should see, at the top of the screen that opens, Google Now.
If you do, does it say "off" or "on" under that?
If it says off, click there and you can set Google Now up...

Glad that I helped. :)
I have not even activated GoogleNow myself, but there was another thread describing the same issues and it made me play with mine to see why mine wasn't coming up.

I can not get the Google Now widget to install on a home screen. I can install any other widget, but GN will not install. Any help?
