Google Navigation has screen flickering issues

Anybody else have a problem when you are using the navigation feature and you go to turn off the screen and it repetitively flickers on and off?

I've tried it in 4g and 3G - no wireless on. Does it in both. Not sure if it is interfering with bluetooth that connects in my car though.

GNav Screen flicker

I had the same issue a few times but only when the screen was turned off for a short duration while in navigation. It was not a mere flicker, but was rather the screen turning completely on and off repeatedly. I was plugged into my mobile charger at the time. Pressing the power button and leaving the display on prevented the flicker, however; I was unable to turn off the screen and rely solely on the audio prompts to navigate as I originally wished to do.

no issues here. I turned on nav, set my destination and then turned off the screen and no issues.?

I had the same issue... maybe a fix will come as an update?

Yes. I noticed it last night. I used the navi on my bionic last night for the time and my screen was flickering when i cut the screen off while in navi mode. It didnt do it every time but it happened a few times.

Same issue here. When using Google Nav, as soon as I lock the phone to turn off the screen, within seconds it "goes crazy" flickering on and off. I love this phone, but there are a lot of little (yet very annoying) "bugs"...

I posted on the Tech section, I found a temp fix is to go to HOME after starting NAV. It means you'll have to hit the icon in the notice bar if you want to look at the map again. Seems to be a conflict between the Nav software attempting to keep the screen on and the phone keeping it off. I've exchanged phones and the new one is the same.
