Google My Tracks stop

When the screen goes to sleep on my Motorola Droid 4 it turns off the GPS. When i`m walking with google tracks running I do not want to weep the screen on all the time to keep GPS running. Has anyone figured out a way to stop GPS from stopping when screen goes to sleep.
