google music play is missing

I did a couple of ROMs flashing. Did also installed the gapp zip file each time and all my Google apps works fine except the Google music play which is completely missing from my (all) apps list hence it is'nt showing on my home screens. I did tried anddownloaded from the market but it would not install. Keeps telling me the app is already installed on my phone yet I can find any trace of it anywhere. Guys help please because I am missing out from my music collection. Thanks in advance.

Have you checked your settings ---> apps ---> all apps? Try clearing the cache/data in there.

Did you flash the latest gapps when you flashed the ROM? Latest or the ones that the dev used.

I checked my (all) apps but the Google music play app is not in the list yet when I tried to install a new download of the app it will not install. Anyway I was forced out of desperation to change the codename ROM to aokp then installed the latest gaap zip file. Now I am OK. Thanks for your response.
