google maps add to contacts

Has anyone figured out how to add straight from google maps to contacts ?

Im pretty sure ive done this on my windows mobile phone before, but I cant find a way to do it on the droid.

If i do a search I get listings, if i hold down the phone numbers i get an option to add to contact, but it doesnt actually copy anything into contacts, you can press add contact and the number is there but nothing else, no name address.

Is there another location where you can do this from successfully ?

Edit:
Apparantly this isnt implemented from the search because it pulls up the google website.
If you do the search from inside google maps, then click the result you can add to contacts properly.

I hope they fix this so we can use the voice search instead and add from there.

i wish there were a favorites inside the app instead of adding things as contacts. I already have too many contacts that i have to scroll through, I don't want anymore just for google maps.

It does link in your maps from google maps in the layers options.
Theres some other features that carry over also. Driving directions routes and pins.

Yeah it is weird that you can not set it as a location on My Maps instead of as a contact. Hopefully they will remedy that.
