Exchange contacts don't show up in Maps app

I sync all my data with an Exchange server. I don't sync with any other source. What I found is that while in the Maps app, hitting the search button and trying to pull up info on any of my contacts produces no results at all! So if I want to look up a contact's address, I have to do a regular search for it, pull it up in Contacts, then click on the address. It's a huge pain in the ass!

I tried adding some random contacts into my Gmail account, and those get pulled up directly from the Maps app, so for some reason the Maps app doesn't see the Exchange contacts. I tried this on multiple phones with the same results. Is there any way to make it work properly?

I tried searching this forum and Google about this, but couldn't find any info -- am I really the only one noticing this problem?
