Google Listen won't access Contacts

I've tried this now a million times, and it just doesn't work. Google Listen will not access any of my contacts. When I say "Call <Contact>", or "Text <Contact>", it hears the name correctly but drops me into the Google browser in a search for that contact name. It won't execute any command involving a Contact. What am I doing wrong? I'm pretty sure I doing it just as described in the training video....
