Google Calendar 2 Questions. Please help :)

1. I have the Razr Maxx HD. If an entry on DAY view is 30 min or less, there are no letters visible to read the entry. 31 minutes or more is fine.

2. How much different is the Google Calendar in the PLAY store and if added, do they BOTH run and kill battery ?
