Currently Google Assistant is exclusive to the Pixel and Pixel XL, but it may be coming to the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P in the next major update. Google Assistant, for those unaware, is Google's virtual companion app. It is an intelligent personal assistant which can engage in two-way conversations. 9to5Google's Senior editor, Stephen Hall tweeted out earlier in the week that he was told the functionality is finally coming to the 5X and 6P. Google's Android TV director also confirmed that the same treatment would be coming to the Nexus Player as well. All in all the chances are looking pretty great for these two aging devices.
