Google+ Android App questions

I've searched but wasn't able to find any Google+ App specific info here yet.

Using Google+ from the PC, I'm able to post/embed a link in a status post. I do not see where I can do that from the app.

Is it there and I'm missing it or not available yet?

it's still new to me as well and haven't really used it much, but should be able to copy and paste a link on your profile?
