Going to root, but this is confusing?

I came from a rooted Droid one, so I'm familiar with ROM's and root etc. But for bionic, do you need to come from a certain version to root? I'm on stock .886. And I was checking the how to root thread, and the only driver was a 64 bit. So is this just for 64 bits? Sorry if these questions are dumb. I just don't want to mess up my phone.

The below should be all you need -- assuming a Windows PC ...

32 and 64bit USB drivers (The rootzwiki posts indicated that is both 32 and 64): Motorola_End_User_Driver_Installation_5.2.0_64bit.msi

If not, when you run R3l3as3d Root the text screen that displays will give you the URL to the USB drivers.

Yep. I used those steps and worked fine for me. I'm sitting pat waiting on the official OTA and then will apply Shift3r ROM once the RADIO and KERNEL are updated "officially".

The latest word from VZ is that it will drop by end of Nov.
