Gingerbread Status 7 error

Ok so I am having an issue with the gingerbread release from team black hat. I get
updating cdt...
updating cdrom...
assert failed: package_extract_file("cdrom.bin",
"/tmp/cdrom.img")
E:Error in /sdcard/dxgbrooted.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted

I followed the instructions to the letter
I even sbf'ed my phone back to stock 2.3.340

Any ideas?

Try redownloading it, could have gotten a corrupt download.

It sounds like the cdrom.img file is missing something because of where the error is. So a different mirror should fix that.

well I'll be damned....after trying all 3 mirrors, only one seems to be working....working being the key word. Its still going. Cross your fingers.....

EDIT: It buzzed... now it is in a bootloop... FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

EDIT: AWWWW****!!! apparently it was supposed to go into bootloop **** YEAH I GOT GINGERBREAD...Now i can close these 40 some tabs with relevant information on this issue...

i've been having the same exact problem. Thought maybe i was doing something wrong like an idiot. Maybe i'll just wait a few days now hoping it'll be easier to avoid the nonworking zips.

Hey im having a problem I can't seem to solve.

Ok so I downloaded gingerbread from the tbh app and the team black hat folder is on my sd card when I go to files. But when I boot into recovery and try to install the zip in bootstrapper the folder is no longer there. What do I need to do?

Try moving it to the root of your sd card.

Why not just do a Google search for what you are looking for seeing as this thread was quite old and undoubtedly the information contained with-in has changed?
