No, I don't have it but it was just officiaily relased and people have been reporting of receiving it. The systems are going crazy with this download so you might have to wait... Tell me if you get any luck!
It's a multi-stage rollout. It will take some time to reach everyone, so don't be surprised if you get an "update to date" message. The 4.5.607 leak is the OTA you are receiving, so if you want, head over to rw and grab it.
so i just updated to gingerbread and everything worked out except it says im still running on froyo 2.2. is this to be expected? do i just have to wait due to everybody updating?
or is my whole gingerbread update just not gonna happen?

Anyone who wants to update to Gingerbread OTA really should just consider SBFing back to .330 as it's probably a lot easier. You will lose Data if you do that though.
I know having to reconfigure the phone and download/reconfigure all the apps might seem like a pain in the butt but it's a lot easier to get the update to install easy and it sure isn't a bad Idea to start off with a clean phone when moving to a new OS.
Get rid of all the crap you tried but never use and start with a clean slate.
It doesn't necessarily say" froyo" but in setting-about phone its under" android version" and the UI has remained the exact same and that's what set of signals in the first place. It was an OTA. Do you know if there's a way to manually update by chance?

It sounds like you are on 2.2. How did you get the OTA? Did you, for example, sbf to the original release? If so, you WILL get an ota to the. 330 release of froya.
And yes, this forum has several posts about manually uploading the latest version (607 leak)

I screwed up......went from stock to 606 (leak) on my phone and my wife's phone , then SBF'ed both phones back to 330, then updated mine to 607 (soak test). Updated my wife's back to 606 by mistake, SBF'ed it back to 330 again, then updated it to 607 (when release was announced).
Didn't lose any data on either phone, Phones seem to be running fine....(shrug). Neither phone had ever been rooted, bloatware not messed with, etc. Only problem I've experienced is that my flip clocks don't update properly, but a quick Google shows people have been complaining about that for a year or so.
Don't know if I made some sort of a mistake but seems like everything worked OK. During SBF I got to the point where I was told to power down the phone manually, process showed 100%, but wasn't telling me to unplug it. I did anyway, pulled battery, booted into bootloader, the update file had already been copied to the SD card....bootloader gave me the regular menu choices, I chose to install the update from the sd card.....installed just fine.
