Gingerbread issues

Ok - it's out & nothing we can do bout it, right?
When my phone rings, how do i take the lock buttons off that pops up on either side? I'm having to call people back cuz I'm strugglig to push over that lock lever properly.
Isn't there an "unsecure" feature that frees up the phone when it rings? I never had to mess with so much before in my life w/ a smartphone.

Why do they need to do this anyway? Anyone have a reason or a good point to screwing w/ updates like this?

Gingerbread screwed up my contacts.. everytime i tried to add a contact or change a ringtone the app just vanishes.. wtf! Anyone else have this problem??

the term "wtf" isn't allowed in here. Please keep it clean, this is a family oriented forum.
No - I don't have that problem.

Hmmm, I don't think you can use the term you say is not allowed while saying it's not allowed! That's quite the double standard!

I have never had a problem with the unlock slider or the sliders that appear when the phone rings. I keep my phone locked all the time so have gotten used to swiping the unlock slider.

When the phone rings you of course get two sliders, one to answer and the other to ignore. Since I'm right handed the ignore slider is easier to use, of course, but the answer slider works just fine.

I think what you need to try to do is just slide it "with authority" and not mindlessly. Put your thumb on it and slide it over. Don't just brush it over because the touch screen is not perfect and it might just not be registering the swipe that well.

Unfortunately, there's no way to remove them at least with the stock phone. It's there as a preventative measure so that you don't accidentally answer when you don't want to. I've had several coworkers with phones that answered while in their pockets and they didn't know it and the guy on the other end of the line could hear everything being said! It's definitely better having that feature than not in my opinion.

Just practice sliding it and you'll get used to it.

I have the same unlock issue too. Happens a couple times a week.

There's an app called no lock that removes the lock screen feature if you so choose.
