It isn't, not from samsung at least. Check out xda-developers.

I would not go by what anyone would say, being that samsung has not said nothing about it. I think we will get gingerbread its just of matter of when. . .remember not even all mobile phones are running it either.

It took Samsung 6 months to put Froyo out on the Fascinate which is a joke, especially given the fact that Froyo was out 6 months prior to the launch of the Fascinate. As for Gingerbread, sure, maybe, and don't count on it. While I am going to purchase the Galaxy Tab unlocked for Verizon I will rely on the Dev community to give me what I need and NOT Samsung. They simply do not stand behind their products.
