Gingerbread for Droid 2 Global?

Ive been reading alot about Gingerbread already being released. Is this true? If so where can I get and for my Droid 2 Global and how do I go about installing it? Thanks.

The source has been released by Google however it will not be available in full for any of the second generation Motorola droids until officially released or leaked.

Who the hell comes up with the names for these OS versions?

Google does. After alpha and beta they began naming updates alphabetically after desserts.

Eclair
Froyo
Gingerbread
Honeycomb

That's as far as we have now but ostensibly ice cream could follow. There's a thread somewhere with user predictions.

Still a little early to tell although Motorola tends to be the quickest with updates.

Yea I was n the Verizon store yesterday and ask the guy n there and he said he's saw emails on peoples comp. Talking about it n march but who knows if he's full of it or not but spaz is right a lil early 2 tell but Motorola is about the quickest about it
