GimpSource 3.1 CompCache

I am having a problem running Compcache. I put a check mark in the box, I leave the screen and come back and it has unchecked itself. I also tried through terminal and it gets an error saying it can't find a file. Any ideas? I'm currently running CorCor67 250-1000 Kernal.
