getting droids, email question

so we're making the switch and getting droids! :icon_ banana:

The other person on my account uses sbcglobal.net (yahoo) for email and refuses to switch. They don't have a preferred account, so my question is, I know there is a work around for the yahoo email with wifi off. However after setting up the account, can he have wifi on and receive messages? or does he have to leave it off? Or does it have to only be off for setting up the account initially?

I always have manually refresh my yahoo, I would like a good answer for this myself

IIRC it needs to remain off. Isn't there another workaround using a gmail account to check the Yahoo account? My fiancee gave up and is just using their web interface. It was very inconsistent for her (and she never uses WiFi). Sometimes Mail would work with Yahoo. Sometimes it wouldn't.

Maybe this will get your other person to finally switch.
