Getting a Note4 on a plane.

You can carry all the Note 4's you want on a PLANE It's a Note 7 you can't put/take on a PLANE period....

also: I wouldn't check ANY Li Ion or Lipo batteries. Carrying them on with you is fine, but in the cargo hold where it isn't pressurized is asking for trouble REGARDLESS of make/model.

At a quick glance they all look alike. Tsa workers probably can't tell the difference between a Note7 and a roll of toilet paper either.

During my most recent work trip the TSA was not checking phones and was not making the Note 7 announcements. That might have changed. The airline crew was making the Note 7 announcements as we were boarding the plane, once on the plane and during the pre take off safety brief. I'm sitting in my seat, listen to the brief, then put in my headphones and start some music. The stewardess says "Sir, what kind of Samsung is that?". I say "it's a Motorola Droid Turbo 2, not a Samsung." Puzzled look, then "So it's not a Samsung Note?" I wanted to be a wise guy, but just said No Ma'am.
If you have a Note 4 you are fine and there are no restrictions that I am aware of. If anyone asks, big IF, just tell them what phone model it is and you should be fine.

I have no issue carrying the Note 7 on me and with me personally but I'd NEVER risk a planeful of others.
