Just wanted to say hi. Thanks for having me. I am looking to get the most out of my Droid. I want to root it and overclock it and be able to use wi-fi teather and try some cool UI's that some other Droid phones have.

Here is a quick way to root your phone, especially if your new to Android's:

WARNING: Rooting your phone will VOID your warranty and Insurance. So make sure you are absolutely sure.

Thanks for the reply. A question, if i root and upgrade to 2.2 first is anyone having any problems like the OTA problems that caused Verizon to pull it, and second if so when the mods update their 2.2's if I want to update will I have to reset my phone again and reactivate it everytime I perform an upgrade?

I haven't rooted my phone, due to I do not want to VOID my warranty or insurance. But I have updated to Froyo 2.2. I haven't had any problems yet, and no you do not have to Reset your phone or reactivate your phone.
