GB is slow on droid pro

When did you load it? Maybe it takes a little time to settle in? Coming from the Blackberry, when I would load new Hybrid OS's, they would take 24 hours to settle and notice the improvements. Not sure if Android is the same

GB and froyo have both run substantially smooth on my droid pro, but gingerbread absolutely runs smoother and more responsive.

I installed by downloading official update

Things seem to lag, before email opens, or apps list, or general scrolling

i've even done a system format after installing update to start 'clean'...don't have anything CPU intensive running or special programs

It just lags and pauses more than it used to :(

Mine is slow too. Thought a factory reset might fix, but hasn't improved at all. Seems very slow and laggy, especially when opening an app. Even in-app performance of things like the corp sync email is much slower.

My phone is so much smoother and runs better than when on froyo. I didnt even wipe my phone before installing GB.

I wiped data/cache before installing because it always seems to go smoother when you do that. I have noticed it is faster for sure not like amazing super fast but it is faster. Menus and stuff seem a little slow just because of the new elastic effect when opening everything. The email is much faster as far as getting to my phone, I did testing and it is instant now instead of slightly delayed as it was before.

I had my pro for a day before rooting and installing GB so I never experienced Froyo. When I first installed GB, my battery drained super fast. My buddy, Firesong3k, who helped me, told me it was probably backup assistant along with some other syncs killing the battery is so I did a factory reset, didn't enable the backup assist, tweaked my email settings to IMAP instead of POP, changed the sync frequency of Facebook and my battery is kickin' ass today!! GB is running smooth and fast!

GB has ran smoother on the Pro than Froyo ever has. But if you mean GB on the Pro is slower that the Droid X than that's definitely true.

On my droid pro, gingerbread runs much smoother and more stable than my experiences with gingerbread on my old droid 2 and after installing gingerbread on a couple droid x's...to each their own I guess.

Hmm... Well what I said was just a prediction. But if you have experience them all then I guess you're more creditable.

I was honestly extremely surprised at the performance and battery increase over my droid 2 running gingerbread. At the same time, im extremely pleased with the droid pro. There's not a phone out that suits my needs better...especially with gingerbread.
