GB for droid 2

i dont really understand how to go about flashing this to my phone

can i just reflash my stock backup i have of my phone and the flash gb on to my phone or do i need to sbf?

will all my apps and stuff be lost in the process?
and do i need to unroot before flashing?

Boot into clockwork recovery, backup, wipe cache, wipe data, mount system, flash the .zip file. reboot. All data will be lost. New Moto GB build is currently not root friendly.
