In case you haven't had your fill yet with Android gaming, OpenFeint is preparing for the big move to Android. You may have heard of OpenFeint, the social gaming network made famous on the iPhone and other iOS devices. Representing a gaming development community of over 9,200, this is truly a monumental day in Android gaming.

OpenFeint plans to launch on Android "later this summer", and will include an SDK for developers. Interestingly, just as Gameloft has done, OpenFeint is opting to bypass the Android Market with its own "discovery store", and will introduce a mobile payment option through Google Checkout.

Some partners of OpenFeint include Glu Mobile (which already has a few Android titles), Astraware, Digital Chocolate, Hudson Soft and independent studios like Distinct Dev (Moron Test), ustwo (Dot Dot Dot), Pik Pok (Flick Kick Football) and RocketCat Games (Hook Champ).
