Galaxy note 3 - all hidden photos in gallery deleted

Galaxy Note 3 (Kitkat 4..2.2) asked me for an official update and I went through with it.
Nothing has changed all data unaltered except these hidden items.

All hidden items have been deleted except one video (also hidden).
Surely there must be a way to retrieve these photos.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

How exactly did you hide them in the first place? Were you rooted?

Well, I would say for restoring the photos and videos you can try using "Recuva" I would say it's another good piece of software to use after you perform a recovery once you accidentally.
