I need to reset my phone to make it work properly but I'd like to back everything up. Is there anyway to do this without root? I really don't want to lose all of my data and if anyone could help me explain what is stored where on the RAZR that would help as well.

To be honest. Its probably easier to just root, backup, "reset", then restore and unroot if you want.

Is it possible to do that? I am not very familiar with root at all.

Yup. Just do a search for "how to root Motorola razor" read up on it a little then once you root you can do a full system backup, or backup your apps with an app called Titanium backup or my backup
