Froyo Rooted to GB OTA via updater

Would I run into any issues if I go from rooted rom froyo to gingerbread ota through the phone? Thanks

Yes, you wont be rooted anymore. I don't know about rerooting afterwards.

Also, if you choose the ota, once it installs don't touch the phone for 10-15 minutes. Its part of the update process for some reason for it to sit on the red eye for quite a while.

Thanks, and all the apps and everything will still be there right? I should remove CWR before OTA install too or doesnt matter i can remove it after.

From what P3 said a few weeks ago you couldn't be rooted and take the ota install, it causes it to fail. You have to be complete stock for the ota. Yes, for the time being you give up root unless you install the 2 part .zip files from mydroidworld.com.

So have to unroot or SBF and even though it says theres an update it would just fail. Thanks for the info.
