Will the backup program that comes with 2.2 backup all apps, settings, and data from the phone? Where does it back it up to, the sd card?

Data Backup | Android Developers I found this on the developer's site. Abstract: runs in the background, asks apps for backup-able data, and uploads that data to one of Google's "cloud servers".
