From Custom Rom To Factory Reset

Can you still do this after you install a ROM? I'm thinking about putting Rubix Focused .5 on my Droid X and want to make sure I can flash back to the original factory reset.

factory reset wont remove the rom. hopefully you made a backup in recovery before applying the rom

I haven't done it yet but I do have a nandroid backup. And will backup before I o it. I wanted to be fully knowlegable before I do.

and before restoring a backup, make sure to wipe data/cache

So as long aa i do a backup I can install zip from the backup and restore to original state I had in? Also, is it really worth doing a new rom? Does anyone have a link to a good guide to install a new rom?

i dont understand the wording exactly so..

if you make a backup in recovery, install a rom and dont like it, you can wipe data/cache in recovery and restore teh backup to go back to what it was before the rom

id just look around here for some roms

Hi I did a rom upgrade and forgot to back up how do i go back to stock as if you would get from verizon except its 2.2?

I had to flash the stock ota about a week ago. Super easy just had to call Verizon to get it setup for* 228 programming.
