Friend stream "The service is currently unavailable"

I just started trying out some
Gingerbread roms w/ Sense 3.0 since last night,
and I'm having a problem with Friend stream app..

It would say "The service is currently unavailable." whenever I try to log on.
At first, I thought the 4g wasn't connected right somehow so I switched to
Wifi, but no good.
Also, I tried out any other roms out there but still friend stream would say the same thing.
I even tried unrooting back to stock, but no joy..

I thought it was the rom that causes the friendstream not to work,
but I tried other froyo roms and even stock, but still it would say the same thing..

I can use any other app that requires network connection and they worked
just fine, even the Facebook app for android.

I used to sync contacts via Facebook on HTC,
(because of the clear contact pictures unlike Android FB app or Google)
and I really hate to give up using it.

Is there anyone who's experiencing the same problem???

Mine is working fine, always has. Sounds like it might be a good idea to wipe everything and re-flash.

That's what I've been trying for hours now..
Wiping everything and flashing another new rom and radio..
But still no clue so far..

I'm flashing CM7 for another try, this, i guess, is my 8th time reflashing for last 24 hours..
Hope I get lucky this time..

Okay I was working on it and I just found out that
I could somehow log on to friend stream app with other facebook account, but cannot log on to my account.

The other facebook account was Gmail, and mine is Hotmail..
Can that be the cause of this problem...??

arrgggghhh the facebook for android just cannot be the replacement for contact syncing..

Can I get anyone's help here??
