Frequent "ding" from Galaxy SIII....

I am new to this phone, only having it a couple days. without touching the phone, and it does it kind of often, it will make a ding sound like theres a notification, but theres nothing showing in the notification bar, the led light does not blink... anyone know what this is and how to stop it? its kind of annoying hearing a ding for no reason.... Thanks!

never mind, figured this out too, it is the dang sound from the Yahoo Mail app.... that shouldn't be a problem anymore....
