Found a way to have a free home docking station :)

Well I work on a volunteer fire department and we have motorola minitor v for pagers. Well I went to set them down on the table, and i set my droid on top of my pager and all of the sudden the screen changed to home dock mode. I was like WTF... So sure enough i take it off thinking there was a button on the back of the droid i hit and it would do it on the table. But it didnt. set it on my pager again. home dock mode. took it off, normal haha. It works basically as a home dock for free. I thought it was weird. so i grab my brothers droid and tried it, same thing, home dock mode. I can take a video of it if you guys want to see what im talking about...

It's a magnetic sensor, your pager must have a magnet in it.

Yeah I am a ff too and the Minitor has a decent size speaker, these are voice pagers. Speakers have magnets

That's awesome. I also have seen videos of a 50 cent whiteboard magnet doing the same thing. I splurged and got the stock dock tho
