flashing blue and white triangle?

my droid 2 has a flashing blue and white triangle in the notification bar, where the 3G is supposed to be. it also cannot retrieve a signal, and its very bothersome. does anyone know what i can do to fix this and get a signal again?

Have you tried putting it in airplane mode for a min then turning data back on? If that doesn't work, try calling *228 and choose option 1 to activate the phone.

Also are you rooted or on a custom rom?

the airplane mode didnt work. and i cannot call out because i have no signal so the *228 thing doesnt work :/
and i dont know what either of those things are... xD
i havent done anything like that with my phone.

That's a roaming indicator. If you're unable to dial out, try a soft reset by pulling your battery for 30 seconds and then powering your phone back on. If that is unsuccessful, a factory reset may be in your near future.
