The first TV show I remember was called Andy's Gang*. Starred Andy Devine and his two sidekicks, Midnight the cat who looked a lot like Felix and Froggie the Magic Gremlin who was a frog. When they wanted to call Froggie up, they'd say "Plunk your magic twanger Froggie" and he'd pop up (it was a doll, this was pre-special effects days) and say (in a very gravelly voice) "Hi ya kids! Hi ya, hi ya HI YA!".
The above memories were from like from 1954 or 1955.

Uuuhhmmm....yeah....My best friend and I were at her house. (Family friends...."knew" her before birth...) were at her house. We are 1.5 years apart, but 1 year apart in school. Our sisters are 3 years younger (off topic....we were still best friends up to 3 years ago....our daughters are 4 weeks apart, and our sons are 4 months apart....). Anyway.....we wrote at Robin's house. Robin and I were together...our sisters were playing. Robin and I said " there is a new show coming on for us 'big' kids, called "The Electric Company....Sesame Street is for you guys...."....So yeah.... I am old!!!

This "senior citizen" runs 10 miles per day, got her bachelor's and master's degrees, climbs 300+ flights on stair machine, teaches 18 month olds, supports a family of 5, knows how to "root" her damn phones, and can run friggen circles around her 26 year old teaching assistant. Geritol, my ass!!!
