First look at Bat-fleck and the new Batmobile

They have begun filming Man of Steel 2: Batman vs Superman in Detroit and pictures have been released of the new Batmobile along with Batman. Looks to me like they are going with the Frank Miller Dark Knight Returns look. What you think?

I must admit with the shorter bat ears Ben Affleck looks familiar hmmm..........

The pic looks pretty awesome. If I didn't know it was Ben Affleck under the cowl, I would think this looks like a perfect classic Batman. If Affleck can pull off the dark and tortured, yet resourceful and determined genius personality of the Batman part of Bruce Wayne's character, he might pull it off and surprise many of us.

Wow, the bat suit looks huge. There is no way he was able to bulk up enough to even look like he fits half that suit. Its going to look so weird when hes out of the bat suit.

If they mess up batman vs superman then they can go ahead and put a fork in the justice league movie. We are talking about the two most iconic super heroes on the same screen. If they mess this up they will have to reboot again because the public will have lost faith in the direction wb is going. To be honest are going to have a huge hill to climb to top chris Nolan's dark knight trilogy. Can they do it, yes but right now the casting choices have some people worried.... Me in particular. But hey Ben affleck may turn out to be an awesome Batman.

I don't know, they said he was able to put on some bulk. Plus he already has a tall frame so I am sure with the right trainer and nutrition he could fill it out. My issue is as much as I love batman this isn't the comics or an animation movie. They set the tone in MOS by having superman snap general Zod's neck who is a fellow kryptonian how in this world will Batman compete with someone who can just drop a truck on him. Even if you had kryptonite woven in your suit superman can throw a truck at you from a mile away (out of the range of kryptonite). So the challenge is to make a Batman that the people can believe is capable of going toe to toe with Superman (who will be "like a god to them") on screen. Again if they can pull it off they will have a chance at blowing up the box office.

I don't get all of the Affleck hate. People are act like he vandalized their car, lied to the police, and got away with it.

I hope he does a great job, knocks it out of the park, and entertains people like a mofo.

There is no chance a superhero movie will top Christopher Nolan's adaptation of Batman, esp the first two. Unless of course Nolan makes another one someday.
