One of the biggest benefits of the Android platform is the open-nature of it. Google has a very much relaxed perspective on build process and use of it. This contrasts starkly with Apple's tight control.
While iPhone users can't enjoy Flash, Android users certainly are about too. From what we've read the implementation really seems to be coming along nicely and we can all expect some neat benefits from it in the future.
PCWorld has a great article and a first look at the Flash on Android, you can check it out here: http://www.pcworld.com/article/196727/first_look_android_22_froyo_with_flash_player_101.html
One can hope that the Flash will work out beautifully on the Android handsets out there and put pressure on Apple to open up their platform a bit more. After all, the more competition for the consumer, the better.
